beautiful 1959 Mark VI tenor retains approximately 85% of its original
lacquer. There is no evidence anywhere of any past major repairs. The
bell flare shows a small crease in the lacquer as a result of a small
repair. The neck has a small amount of lacquer loss on each side, which

'factory-perfect' round condition. The bottom bow is in perfect shape
with no signs of repairs and the only solder repair is found on the top
keyguard foot on the bell (for low Bb).
It has a very recent overhaul (by Shelly Tanabe) and is in perfect
mechanical condition. It is setup with Pisoni Pro pads and seamless
The horn plays with a strong projecting sound. There is a comfortable,
slender focus that makes it feel very easy to articulate fast lines and
move effortlessly through registers. The sound is in the middle of the
dark/bright spectrum with the classic Mark VI "buzz" always present. A
beautiful example of a highly sought after 1959 vintage!
